Name: Mochizuki Ryouji (I feel I should note that while the official translation in the game spells it ‘Ryoji’, different spelling on another website as well as habit development has lead me to spell it this way)
Series: Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3
Age: Technically, maybe only a month, but he appears to be 17
Gender: Male

Pulled In: After the encounter with Aegis on the Moonlight Bridge, when he remembers his past and collapses. He wakes up at the train platforms.
Cut Down: Ryouji technically is the 13th Arcana, Thanatos, Death, Nyx Avatar, The Appriser, or however many names you’d want to use. Which means he will become the ultimate destroyer of the world - God-like, only the bad kind. For this RP however, he doesn’t have the power of the other 12 Shadows in order to form Nyx, so Ryouji is a simple high school teenager.

Personality: In a word, Ryouji can easily be described as a flirt. He is very energetic and friendly, usually getting along with anyone he meets and hitting it off right at the start. Although his constant habit of asking a girl out within minutes of meeting her has resulted in several stomped-toe incidents, he quickly recovers and is ready to ask the next girl he meets for a date. He is a very playful individual, charming, a bit clumsy, and curious about everything around him as if he’s never seen it before – which could be partly due to the fact that he’s pretty much brand new to life, false memories of a family life implanted to make sure he is unaware of his true self until the time comes. Not necessarily one to stay out of trouble, Ryouji’s curiosity easily gets the better of him as he’s known to wander into places he shouldn’t (a.k.a: women’s washrooms) just to see what all the fuss is about.

Things that should be frightening to a normal person, isn’t scary at all to Ryouji. Noises in the middle of the night, a terrifying monster with sharp fangs and claws, or a severe punishment known as an “execution” from a powerful woman one just spied on in a hot spring that leaves others in a near petrified state – Ryouji simply shrugs it off as a passing interest. He’s not entirely fearless, mind you, not much of a fan of spiders or anything tiny of the six-legged sort, but he’s far more intrigued by the horrifying and the macabre rather than afraid of it.

Similarily, Ryouji has a morbid fascination with the idea of death, and will talk about it comfortably as it doesn’t bother him like it would other people. He’s not exactly the type to want to commit suicide because of this odd obsession, or to cause harm to others, but rather the type to watch others in their last moments of life with intense fascination. This is most likely due to the fact that he is the embodiment of the Death Arcana, the last Shadow whose only purpose is to bring about The Fall, and cause the ultimate destruction of the world.

After learning of his destiny, Ryouji has come to accept the inevitable fate of the world, and of the fact that he will be responsible for ending the lives of his closest friends. He’s not proud of it, of course, but he firmly believes that there is no way to stop what is to come, and he hides himself away from those dear to him until the final day.
